Audi Q5: Taking Luxury SUVs to the Next Level

Completely redesigned for the 2018 model year, the Audi Q5 brings a lengthy list of standard features, tons of cabin space, a hefty base engine, and cutting-edge technology to the luxury compact SUV segment.

Power comes standard with a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder engine matched to a seven-speed, dual clutch automatic transmission that generates 252 horsepower, which is enough to quickly accelerate up to speed from a dead stop, or to efficiently pass on the highway. If that's not enough power for you, a 3.0-liter V6 with an eight-speed automatic is available, creating a 354-horsepower punch. Quattro all-wheel drive is standard on all Audio Q5 trim levels, and you can fine-tune steering, transmission, and suspension using Audi Drive Select, which lets you choose between Dynamic, Comfort, Individual, or Sport drive modes.

Patterned stitching and high-quality, soft materials including standard leather seating welcome five passengers into the cabin, where the driver and front-row passenger will enjoy 8-way adjustable power seats. Both rows of seating offer comfortable headspace and legroom, and the second row of seats slide to offer additional legroom if your passengers need it.

Technology abounds in the Audi Q5, both on the safety and infotainment fronts. Audi Pre Sense Basic, a technology that automatically tightens seatbelts, closes the windows (and sunroof, if you have one) and prepares the braking system if an imminent crash is detected, is included as standard. Audi Pre Sense City is also standard, and is a suite of safety system that includes pre-collision braking, forward collision warning, and pedestrian warning. A rearview camera is also standard.

Standard infotainment includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, accessed by a 7-inch display, a 5-inch driver information display or voice command. Bluetooth and two USB ports are available for connecting your devices, and HD radio can be played through the 10-speaker audio system. Upgrades to additional infotainment features, including Audi's MMI system, are available.
